Things got to a feverish climax when Apple finally unveiled the iPhone 11 – as well as iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max – on September 10th, 2019.
For the most part of the year, Apple has kept smartphone users waiting for the launch of its flagship device,
and given how frequently we saw smartphones from the Android side of things, the anticipation was really high.
In this post, we take a look at the new Apple’s 2019 Line-ups and see what new things they bring to the table.
First off, we take a look at the names of the newest iPhones. Apple has decided to call the highest-end iPhone “iPhone 11 Pro Max”, followed by the “iPhone 11 pro”
and the standard “iPhone 11”. Given how Apple has stuck with Roman Numerals in the past 2 years (along with the “S”),
there have been speculations that their 2019 phones would keep the trend, bearing “iPhone XI” or some other variations of that.
However, Apple decided to go more conventional with the naming and stuck with the incremental numbering.
Sadly, Apple didn’t implement the great design overhaul that iOS users were expecting; instead,
it went for something a little more than an increment to last year’s iPhones’ design.
On the front, you would find that nothing has changed aesthetically:
the same ol’ notch is still there for Face ID, and basically the exact same front component as last year’s iPhones
Where you’d find the most aesthetic change, is on the back. Apple has rearranged the cameras on the iPhones:
It still has the dual camera array, but the camera area has been redesigned, making it more prominent than last year’s iPhone.
They have been given a third camera, making their backs more different from that of the previous years.
Specs iPhone 11
If anything, everyone expects that there is a considerable improvement in the specifications of the newer iPhones,
and Apple didn’t disappoint on that.
The standard comes in a 6.1 inch LCD display with resolution 828 by 1792;
it is powered by a completely new chipset, the A13 Bionic. It has 4GB of RAM and a battery capacity of approximately 3,110 mAh.
It’s got a dual 12MP camera setup as well.
The iPhone 11 Pro and the Pro Max have a 5.8 inch and 6.5 inch OLED display respectively (screen resolution stands at 1125×2436 and 1242×2688 respectively).
Both run with A13 Bionic chipset as well but have 4GB and 6GB RAM respectively.
Battery life is put at approximately 3,160 mAh (for iPhone 11 Pro) and 3,500 mAh (for Pro Max).
iPhone Pro and Pro Max have a triple 12MP camera setup on the back and the standard 12MP front-facing camera.
Pricing and More
Apple has decided to shake things up a bit with the pricing of the 2019 iPhone line-up.
The iPhone 11 would start out at $699 and max out at $849;
the iPhone 11 Pro would have a price range of between $999 and $1349 while iPhone 11 Pro Max is between $1099- $1499.
This year’s iPhones come in more interesting colorways, with new colors like Green and Purple.
