Google Pass has been launched by Google, to give you access to apps and games for a subscription.
If you’ve been following tech trends and happenings, you’d know that Apple launched its subscription service called Apple Arcade earlier this year.
Of course, not to be outdone, Google has recently launched its own subscription service.
And unlike Apple Arcade, it would be a subscription service for apps and games alike.
So, for a monthly fee of $4.99, you get access to more than 350 apps and games that are free of ads, in-app purchases or any of those upfront payments.
This service would be available in the US first and would move to other countries soon (according to Google).
Apple Arcade only subscribes you to completely free games, while Google Play Pass gives you access to apps and games alike.
It also gives you the opportunity to share your subscription with up to five family members.
Each of the members can have access individually, meaning one’s activity doesn’t obstruct the other.
Conclusion on Google Pass
Google Play Pass is an interesting idea; an even better alternative to Apple Arcade.
With the one-time monthly payment, you get to download the fully-featured versions of over 300 apps and games.
You wouldn’t have to worry about in-app purchases and other payments.
